There is a lot of ground to cover at this
annual conference which is held to update
and discuss issues with 230 public sector
workers; this year including top civil servants,
MPs and well known journalists and political
commentators.
Held at a large hotel in the north east,
in early March 2010, this is the second
annual conference for this association that
Whitwam has been asked to produce. The main
conference required staging, lighting and
projection with an additional five workshop
environments for break-out sessions. Each
break-out session also required projectors,
laptops and sound equipment.
In the evening, Whitwam were asked to create
the backdrop, music and lighting for the
evening entertainment - an award winning
dance team.
'This is the second time we have used Whitwam
for our annual conference and once again
we have been extremely pleased with their
services.
When you are planning a conference and have
a million and one things to remember to
do, knowing that you can trust an events
production company to hit the ground running
is essential. Small things make a difference;
from always answering phones, to drafts
being received on time. Whitwam was a breath
of fresh air from start to finish.
On the actual conference days, the Whitwam
team worked incredibly hard to ensure everything
ran smoothly. They even managed to achieve
very last minute requests that saved the
day. As quite often happens at this type
of event, one of the guest speakers wanted
all his slides changing five minutes before
he was due on stage, and our dancers missed
their rehearsal slot. Whitwam managed to
sort everyone out, whilst keeping them happy
and relaxed. The result was a sleek and
professionally produced performance! The
Whitwam team looked calm and collected at
all times and I spent three very busy days
knowing they had everything under control.
